|canadanne||11:44 pm - Latest TV & radio appearances|
If you missed U2 on The Graham Norton Show this evening, it's repeated on Monday night / early Tuesday morning from 00:20am to 01:05am. It's also up on iPlayer.
The Absolute Radio interview with Bono & Edge was (partially) broadcast this morning, and can be heard in this podcast at the 36 minute mark. It's well worth a listen, very funny and almost completely free of Bono's usual repetitive soundbites (though he does try to sneak in the milk bottle analogy again). There's meant to be a half-hour recording of the full interview coming soon, but I haven't seen it anywhere yet.
Yesterday, Bono & Edge were also interviewed by Lauren Laverne on BBC 6 Music, which you can listen to here.
One more appearance has been announced - Zane Lowe will be talking to the band on his Radio 1 show (7-9pm) on Monday evening. Don't forget they are also playing Later With Jools Holland next week! Anyone else struggling to keep up with all this?!

Christian O'Connell interviewed Bono & Edge for his breakfast show on Absolute Radio. It will be broadcast this Friday!
If you missed this evening's live session on Radio 2, it should soon be available here. :)

|canadanne||06:28 pm - Another Absolute Radio interview?|
Hmm, I caught something on Absolute Radio earlier about an upcoming live interview with Bono and The Edge (on the breakfast show I think?), but I missed what day they said, and I can't find any mention of it online! Does anyone know?

Surprised Graham Norton agreed to have them on his show - he's been slagging them off ever since the '90s! Will be interesting to see if he pretends to be impressed. :P

|canadanne||09:52 pm - Sport Relief auction: bid for U2 concert tickets + backstage invite + signed Bono shades!|
Russell Brand and a host of his celebrity friends are donating their prized possessions, money-can't-buy items and unique experiences for a special charity eBay auction.
From the worlds of music, sport and entertainment, the likes of Bono, Stephen Fry, Paloma Faith, John Bishop and Gary Lineker, to name a few, have all given up beloved belongings or an amazing experience which the public are invited to bid for on eBay.
Among the items up for grabs, you could bid for:
● A pair of Bono's sunglasses and the chance to collect them from the musician himself – the winning bidder and a friend will be invited backstage to meet the U2 singer ahead of seeing the band perform live in the UK.
The auction runs until Sunday 2nd March and the public can also support the cause by selling something of their own on eBay for "Give it Up for Sport Relief".
The money raised from this auction will go to the 'Give it Up' fund managed by Comic Relief and created by Russell to help people with drug and alcohol addictions remain abstinent.
Meet Bono at a U2 show and take home a signed pair of his sunglasses
Win a pair of Bono's sunglasses and collect them from the musician himself. You and a friend will be invited backstage to meet the U2 singer ahead of seeing the band perform live in the UK.
You will receive two General Admission tickets for you and a guest to see U2 perform at a UK venue during their next European tour. The UK date(s) are yet to be announced but we promise you it will be well worth the wait!
This auction is raising money for the 'Give It Up' fund, which was set up by Russell Brand to help develop abstinence based community support for people leaving drug and alcohol treatment. The fund is managed by Comic Relief, and this year Give it Up is part of the Sport Relief campaign, one of the UK's biggest fundraising events, which brings the entire nation together to raise cash and change lives.
The current bid is £2,501.01!
Well, even if you can't afford it, at least this confirms that a UK tour announcement is on the way. :D
